Rain Shadow Ranch is a working specialty cut flower farm. We welcome visitors and are honored to share our farm experience with the community. Because this is an active agricultural property with inherent risks, all visitors must follow these guidelines. Our highest priority is protecting visitor safety, farm staff, crops, animals, equipment, and facilities.

By visiting Rain Shadow Ranch, you agree to comply with this policy and all posted signage and staff instructions.

  • WARNING — Under Washington Law (RCW 4.24.830 – 4.24.840)

    "You are assuming the risk of participating in an agritourism activity. This activity may include risks inherent to agriculture including, but not limited to, risk of injury, illness, or death from livestock, equipment, structures, terrain, weather, and natural conditions."

    By entering Rain Shadow Ranch property or participating in activities, visitors acknowledge and accept inherent agricultural risks.

  • Rain Shadow Ranch is not open for general public roaming. Visitors are welcome only during approved visiting opportunities, including:

    • Bloom Stand shopping
    • Scheduled U-Pick experiences
    • Workshops or special events
    • Pre-scheduled photography sessions
    • Scheduled farm tours
    • Pre-arranged order pickups

    Unauthorized entry into growing fields, barns, or facilities is strictly prohibited.

  • To minimize risk and maintain a safe farm environment, all visitors must:

    • Follow staff instructions at all times
    • Remain in designated visitor areas
    • Stay on marked paths when provided
    • Wear closed-toe, sturdy footwear
    • Supervise children at all times
    • Refrain from climbing on equipment, structures, or irrigation systems
    • Avoid entering restricted or posted areas
    • Respect crops, tools, and farm infrastructure

    Visitors engaging in unsafe or disruptive behavior will be asked to leave without refund and be held liable for all damages and compensation.

    Saturdays and Sundays
    10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

    Bloom Stand hours may vary based on crop availability, harvest schedule, and weather conditions.

    Customers may also order bouquets in advance for pickup. Advance ordering is encouraged to ensure availability.

  • Our flower fields are accessible only through scheduled experiences, including:

    • U-Pick flower sessions
    • Workshops or educational classes
    • Special farm events
    • Photography reservations
    • Farm tours

    All experiences require advance scheduling or registration.

  • Rain Shadow Ranch offers seasonal educational farm tours designed to share the history, mission, and behind-the-scenes operations of our flower farm.

    Availability

    • Tours are offered July through September
    • Tours are by appointment only

    Cost

    • $15 per person
    • U-Pick flower access available during tours for an additional $15 per cup

    Tour Includes

    • Brief presentation on the history of Rain Shadow Ranch
    • Overview of our mission and community involvement
    • Guided look inside our processing and farm facilities
    • Access to the barn market
    • Optional access to the U-Pick flower field
    • Approximately 1 hour total visit time

    Tour Waiver Requirement

    All farm tour participants are required to sign a liability waiver acknowledging Washington State Agritourism Law prior to participation. Visitors who decline to sign the waiver will not be permitted to participate in the tour.

  • U-Pick flower sessions are offered during select seasonal windows and must be scheduled in advance.

    Visitors must:

    • Use only designated cutting containers and tools
    • Harvest only from approved U-Pick areas
    • Follow staff harvesting instructions
    • Remain within designated visitor areas

    Additional U-Pick purchases during tours or events are subject to posted pricing.

    Photography Sessions

  • Parents and guardians are fully responsible for supervising minors at all times. The farm environment includes hazards that may be unsafe for unsupervised children.

  • For visitor safety, crop protection, and biosecurity:

    • Pets are not permitted in production areas, U-Pick fields, or barns
    • Service animals are permitted in accordance with ADA guidelines but must remain under handler control at all times

  • We welcome photographers and clients to use our flower fields for photo sessions.

    All photography must be scheduled in advance through our Photography Sessions page. Unscheduled photography is not permitted.

    Photographers are responsible for:

    • Supervising all clients and guests
    • Preventing crop damage
    • Remaining in approved photography areas
    • Following all farm rules and time reservations

    Rain Shadow Ranch reserves the right to stop sessions that pose safety or crop risks.

  • Visitors should be aware that:

    • Farm terrain may include uneven ground, mud, irrigation lines, and natural obstacles
    • Certain areas may not be wheelchair accessible due to agricultural conditions

    Visitors assume responsibility for navigating farm terrain safely.

  • Visitors voluntarily assume all risks associated with entering agricultural property and participating in farm activities. Rainshadow Ranch, LLC is not responsible for injuries, losses, allergic reactions, or property damage resulting from inherent farm risks.

  • Rainshadow Ranch, LLC is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for visitors, customers, staff, volunteers, and community members.

    Rain Shadow Ranch maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, threatening behavior, abusive conduct, or discriminatory language or actions directed toward any individual or group.

    Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

    • Racist or racially offensive language or behavior
    • Sexist, gender-based, or sexual harassment
    • Discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics including race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, age, marital status, or veteran status
    • Verbal abuse, intimidation, or threatening behavior
    • Hate speech or derogatory language toward staff, guests, or community members
    • Disruptive or unsafe conduct that interferes with farm operations or visitor safety

    Rain Shadow Ranch, LLC reserves the right to immediately remove any individual or group from farm property who engages in prohibited conduct. Removal may occur without warning and without refund.

    Rain Shadow Ranch, LLC further reserves the right to:

    • Deny future entry or participation in farm activities
    • Cancel reservations or services
    • Contact law enforcement when behavior poses a safety risk

    All visitors are expected to treat farm staff, guests, and property with respect and professionalism.

    Visitors acknowledge that Rain Shadow Ranch, LLC is private property. Entry onto the property is conditional upon compliance with all posted rules, policies, and staff instructions. Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises and revocation of visitation privileges.

  • Rain Shadow Ranch reserves the right to deny entry or remove visitors who:

    • Violate farm rules
    • Damage crops or property
    • Engage in unsafe behavior
    • Fail to follow staff direction

  • Visitors must:

    • Park only in designated areas
    • Follow signage and staff directions
    • Avoid blocking farm roads, gates, or equipment access

    Rain Shadow Ranch is not responsible for vehicle damage, theft, or loss.

  • Rain Shadow Ranch is not certified organic but is committed to environmentally responsible farming. Our practices include:

    • Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
    • Organic-based liquid seaweed and kelp fertilizers
    • Compost teas and soil-building practices
    • Responsible crop rotation and plant health management

  • Farm activities are conducted outdoors and may be affected by weather conditions.

    Rain Shadow Ranch reserves the right to:

    • Modify or cancel experiences due to unsafe weather
    • Adjust field access due to crop or soil conditions

    Rescheduling options may be offered when possible.
